South African Youth Biodiversity Network (SAYBN)

The South African Youth Biodiversity Network was started on the 6th of September 2017, following the Global Youth Biodiversity Network’s Africa capacity building workshop, in Johannesburg, August 2017. This chapter of GYBN aims to (1) strengthen the political contribution of South African Youth in the Convention on Biological Diversity, (2) manage an online platform where South African youth find opportunities related to biodiversity and (3) contribute to the implementation of the National Biodiversity Strategic and Action Plan by participating in grass root conservation projects..

Members and co-ordinators

This chapter is under the capable hands of Simangele Msweli, Keletso Malepe, Hlompho Tenyane and Fulufhedzani Netshiungani.

There are currently 69 members and membership is open to individuals and organizations at no charge.
